From Krabi to Koh Lanta by minibus
I read lot of articles about this topic, I asked lot of Thai people and I found out that, the cheapest and best way to get to Koh Lanta is by minibus. Duration of transport depends on driver abilities. We get to our hotel from Krabi bus station in 2hours.
How much it cost?
The transport by minibus from Krabi town to Koh Lanta cost 250THB. You have also option to go by ferry or speedboat, but it cost much more. For example ferry cost around 400THB. So I think if you don’t want to take ferry and see little bit of Phi Phi Island you can easily safe 150THB. You can see little bit of Phi Phi Island because ferry also stop on Phi Phi Island.
Where I can take the minibus and ticket?
Everything you will find in Krabi Bus Station.

You will buy here ticket (not through agents, that will run to you after you will leave from taxi or songtaew). Buy the ticket inside of station. After you will enter you will find the sellers window on the left side.
Benefits of taking minibus
- The minibus is air conditioned.
- Driver will take you right in front of your hotel if you will ask him.
- You will see beautiful nature.
- You will go two times on the ferrry for cars.
- You will safe at least 150THB.
- You will don’t get seasickness.
How often minibus go?
Minibus go every half hour and start from morning until afternoon.
